How are users provisioned into SaaS Applications? What are the challenges?
In today’s enterprises users are provisioned into SaaS Applications in a decentralized process. Business units often subscribe to SaaS service and add their team as needed. Provisioning is done without adequate documentation or approvals. IT and Operations team is unaware of the users provisioned into these SaaS Applications posing security and compliance risk. SaaS applications reside outside the enterprise firewalls, help desks are not often equipped to handle the rapid adoption of SaaS Applications by enterprises. Help desk has no plan of action on any new request for provisioning into new application.

Yes, users can access Self Service Portal from anywhere using their Active Directory credentials. Secure 256 bit encryption with third party certificates and HTTPS protocol protect conversations between the users and the hosted self service portal. Users can request for provisioning into applications that current don't have access to, such provisioning requests are directly to application administrator for approvals. All the communications for user provisioning, de-provisioning, Password resets, Account unlocks and alters are managed thru emails and secure portal sessions.

How are approvals secured for user provisioning?
Workflow templates can be setup for user provisioning by roles, by applications and by group association. Apere technology user provisioning engine will trigger series of emails to approvers, once the approvals are secured the users are provisioned into the requested applications.
